Welcome to Classical Physics
The course is roughly divided into three parts:
- Lagrangian and Hamiltonian Formalism of Classical Mechanics
- Elements of classical statistical mechanics
- Elements of special relativity
This is to provide a background to other courses in the physics minor stream,
namely quantum mechanics for engineers and two electives. Although, taken by itself it
ought to be fun too.

The classroom is HSB 210. The slot is G as in Grrrr…
This means we meet on Wednesdays at 3:00 PM, Thursdays at 11:00 AM and Fridays at 10:00 AM.
